Overview

Finite is designed with privacy at its core. We believe in minimal data collection and maximum anonymity. You can use Finite without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Data We Collect

• Messages: The content you send in conversations is stored temporarily on iCloud while the conversation is active. When a conversation ends, all messages are permanently deleted.
• Device identifier: A random anonymous ID is generated on your device to enable matching and message delivery. This ID is not linked to your identity.
• Online status: We temporarily track when you're active in the app to show online counts and enable matching. This data is deleted when you close the app.

Data We Don't Collect

• No names or personal information
• No email addresses or phone numbers
• No photos or profile data
• No location data
• No tracking or analytics
• No advertising identifiers
• No data shared with third parties

iCloud

Finite uses Apple's CloudKit service to store messages and enable real-time matching. Data is associated with anonymous identifiers, not your personal Apple ID information. Apple's privacy policy applies to data stored in iCloud.

Data Retention

Conversations and their messages are permanently deleted when either participant ends the conversation. There is no message history and no way to recover deleted conversations. That's the point.

Anonymity

Finite is designed so that you cannot be identified. You don't create a profile, you don't share personal details, and conversations disappear forever. The strangers you talk to have no way to find you again.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data or require accounts, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Your conversations are automatically deleted when they end.

Children's Privacy

Finite is not intended for children under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
